Westchester Vipers
History
For over 29 years, the Westchester Vipers have been one of the elite hockey programs in Westchester County. Since its establishment in 1997, the Vipers started as a Tier III organization. After nearly a decade of Vipers Hockey, clinching 5 NYSAHA Finals and winning 3 of them, the Vipers were fortunate enough to move up to Tier II. Since then, they have won 4 NYSAHA Championships and clinched 8 trips to Buffalo.
2010 NY State Finalists
The Westchester Vipers 98's fell short in the 2010 12U Tier II New York State Tournament Finals to the Buffalo Bisons.
2011 NY State Champions
The Westchester Vipers 96's won the first ever state title in Vipers history. The 14U AA Tier II team faced off against the Niagara Jr. Purple Eagles and defeated them for the Vipers first ever New York State Championship.
2012 NY State Champions
The Westchester Vipers 02's won their second state title in 2012 at the 10U Tier II New York State Championship. The team went undefeated in preliminary play with a 3–0 record. They continued their strong run reaching the state finals. In the championship game, the Vipers secured a 3–0 victory over the Niagara Jr. Purple Eagles.
2014 NY State Championship
The Westchester Vipers 99's were looking to capture their third title in program history. The 14U AA Tier II East Section No. 2 seed won their league title and were bound for the New York State Championship. Coached by Kevin Hagen, assisted by Michael Cookingham and Jamie Funigiello, they finished the season with a 47-8-3 record. The team also won the JWK Memorial Tournament in overtime 5-4, capturing the first AAA title in Vipers history.
2017 NY State Champions
The Westchester Vipers 02's as their 14U team captured the New York State Tier II Championship during the 2016-2017 season. The Vipers defeated the Clarence Mustangs 6–0 to secure the state title. Following their state championship, the Westchester Vipers 14U team advanced to the USA Hockey National Championships, representing New York on the national stage.
